The Natural Eye 2024
The annual exhibition of the Society, The Natural Eye, is considered the premier exhibition of wildlife art in the country. This year there are over 350 catalogued works on show including paintings, drawings, collage, sculpture, original prints and animation.
In addition to the catalogued works there will be unframed drawings and fieldwork from Wynona Legg and Paul Henery in the Out of the Frame room. Wynona will be sharing her beautifully observed fieldwork from her time spent looking at Ringed Plover in North Norfolk. Paul Henery will be showing some of his energetic sketches of wildlife that he has encountered during his first year of living in Argyll in West Scotland.
The Natural Eye Bursary was awarded to Argentinian artist and naturalist Juan de Souza. The bursary enabled him to spend time observing wildlife on the UNESCO world heritage site Peninsular Valdes in Patagonia. A selection of his field drawings will be on show. The Society has awarded six places on the John Busby Seabird Drawing course, pieces from each of the bursary winners will be on display as well.
