Tim Wootton

Tim Wootton was born and raised in a small rural village in South Yorkshire and now lives in Orkney. He graduated with a BA (hons) in 1986 and was shortlisted for the Young European Bird Artist of the Year in 1991

He was winner of Wildscape Magazine’s Wildlife Artist of the Year, 2008 — editor’s category and World Birds category, BBC Wildlife Magazine Wildlife Artist of the Year, 2010.

In 2010 Tim won the PJC award for Drawing at the Society of Wildlife Artists Annual Exhibition and the following year he was awarded Birdwatch / Swarovski Artist of the Year. Tim was elected a professional Member of the Society of Wildlife Artists in 2012

He writes and illustrates articles on birdwatching and general wildlife and country issues and is the author of Drawing and Painting Birds published by The Crowood Press in 2010
