The Wildlife Trusts and SWLA are thrilled to re-launch the Undersea Art Award. First established in 2007 this bursary is a fantastic opportunity for an established artist to learn to dive. Open to any artist with a passion for nature who wants to find out more about the astonishingly varied submerged landscapes around UK shores. The successful applicant will have a selection of their resulting work shown at next year’s exhibition and their experiences and art will be used to publicise the plight of our marine habitats and the need for protected areas.

The successful applicant must show a talent for interpreting the natural world, preferably working from life. The selection panel are looking for a motivated artist who is keen to explore the underwater world. A folio of field sketches of any wildlife (not necessarily marine) would be advantageous in the application.

To apply please download the application form. Closing date 26th February 2016.
